A walk around Dangar Island in the Hawkesbury River is defined by the native trees - particularly the gum trees: they twist into the most beautiful shapes and take on light in the most evocative of ways. Here is a selection of images. Why one is bandaged I do not know and why one has morphed into the spitting image of a rhino is a mystery of nature.
